Worship Ministries

Acolyte:
Acolytes serve during the worship service lighting and extinguishing altar candles and assists the Pastor and Communion Assistants during the distribution of communion.

Altar Guild:
Volunteers provides altar set-up for worship services as needed.  Duties of the Altar Guild include cleaning the altar, prepare communion ware and linens and more.  Those interested to serve in this ministry on a rotating basis can call the church office for more information at 843-272-5845.

Greeters:

Greeters help the hearts of members and guests for worship by welcoming everyone to Risen Christ with a smile and a warm  handshake.  They will answer questions and assist visitors and members as needed.   Those willing to participate in this meaningful ministry are welcome to serve and be included to the rotating schedule.  For more information, call the church office at 843-272-5845.

Music Ministries:

     Choir:
The choir is directed by Martin Boehling and practices on Thursday evenings at 6 pm.  All interested persons are welcomed to join this group.  We encourage you to use your talents to honor and praise the Lord, regardless of your level of experience.

    Praise Team:
The praise team provides praise music for worship on Sunday mornings during the 10:30 am worship.  The group meets every Thursday evening in the sanctuary at 7:15 pm.  Those willing to share their musical gifts are encouraged and welcomed to join this talented team.

Readers:
Volunteers assist during the service by reading from the Old and New Testaments the selected lessons.

Ushers:
Ushers assist during the worship services in many different ways including helping worshipers find a seat, help with the collection of the offering, direct the flow during the distribution of communion, and more.
