The ultimate purpose of a quilt is to provide warmth.

Every Tuesday from 9 am – 12 pm quilters meet to make quilts.  These quilts are then sent to Lutheran World Relief, who in turn, sends them to countries around the world.  To places such as; Angola, Hati, Djibouti, Ghana, and more. The quilts not only provide warmth, they provide an object that is useful in many different ways:

  • a baby carrier, tied around a mother’s back
  • a market display, spread on the ground and piled with vegetables
  • a sack for transporting those goods to market
  • a sunshade
  • a shawl

If you feel that God is calling you to work with these women, please contact the church office 843-272-5845.
