“Lutheran Braille Workers exists to show the love of God to people with visual disabilities and to bring them into a growing relationship with God.”
Members of Risen Christ and neighbors from the community come together on Thursday mornings to create books of the Bible for Russian children.
Meeting spiritual needs of people who are blind or visually impaired has been the focus of Lutheran Braille Workers since it was founded in 1943. The work has grown from producing titles in a single language to more than 30 languages to date; and the labor force has grown from one volunteer working out of a shoe box in her home to over 5,000 volunteers in about 200 work centers across the United States!
If you feel that God is calling you to join us in creating these books, please contact the church office, 843-272-5845.
